Every child is born with a natural curiosity about the world. As your child develops, he or she is fueled by a built-in desire to learn about the environment around him or her. As parents, you can start this learning journey through a first-hand experience with nature. Teaching children about the connection between themselves and nature can show them that even everyday actions, from what we consume to how we commute, can have an impact on Earth and its inhabitants. To get started, here are 3 places you can explore with your child to get in touch with Nature.

1. Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden @ Singapore Botanic GardensNParks Jacob Ballas Children's Garden Potting Garden

Make the best of your visit to the Singapore Botanic Gardens by taking your kids to the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden — Asia’s first garden dedicated to children. With the theme of “All Life on Earth Depends on Plants”, the garden aims to educate and instil a love for nature in children through multi-sensory learning. Children will get to learn about a range of ecosystems through programmes and activities that will require them to engage their sense of smell and touch, creating an enriching experience.
