Visit a farm with a difference! The Jurong Frog Farm was started in 1981 when veteran frog farmer Mr Wan Bock Thiaw saw a potential in farming the American Bullfrog.
With more than 10,000 American Bullfrogs at the farm, you will have many chances to get close to at least one froggy Prince Charming! To learn more about the farm and the frogs, it’s worth booking a Jurong Frog Farm Frogology Family Tour. The tour includes an introduction to the farm, a 10 minute show and tell with Live American Bullfrogs, photo taking sessions, a chance to feed the frogs, view the tadpole ponds and sample the famed Chinese beauty product made from Frog’s Hashima (snow jelly). Tours are by appointment, so do book one in advance if you are planning to go.
If you still can’t get enough of these happy hoppers after your visit, Jurong Frog Farm also sells a frog pet set. It’s a tank with 4 tadpoles and a month’s supply of feed for them. As with all pet decisions, do discuss your readiness to become a responsible pet owner with your family before you adopt a frog.
