Every Saturday from 9am to 10am and 10am to 11am, most of Singapore’s Fire Stations open their doors to the public for a Fire Station Open House.

Admission is free, and walk-ins are welcome, although you do need to register online if you are coming in a group of 10 or more. If you are able to, try to plan a visit to the Central Fire Station on Hill Street which is connected to the Civil Defence Heritage Museum. You could then combine a trip to the museum with a fire station open house.

Fire Station Open House

This is a really fun, hands-on experience for kids and adults. You get to enter a fully functioning fire station and speak with Singapore Firefighters who will share their experiences and insights.

Children will be thrilled to try on the fire jackets, sit in a Red Rhino Response Vehicle, try out the powerful water hoses and learn different techniques that firefighters use to slide down the fire poles.

Visit the Courtyard and you’ll get to see and go inside even more vehicles. Yes, fire engines, beach rescue buggies, motorcycles and ambulances too!
