Brilliant colourful lantern installations illuminate Gardens by the Bay during the mid-autumn festivities, transporting you into the imaginary worlds. This year’s highlights include the 70-metre “Leaping over the Dragon’s Gate”, “The Phoenix and the Peony” and “Wonders of the Underwater World”. Try out the traditional Lantern Riddles enjoyed during this festival or be entertained with the free nightly cultural performances put on at Supertree Grove within the Gardens.

Based on the all-time favourite book by Dr. Seuss, The Cat in the Hat, has been developed into a magically witty play by Britain’s National Theatre, which will be faithfully reproduced by SRT’s The Little Company in Mandarin. Sally and her brother get a surprise visit from the Cat in the Hat. With his endless tricks and crazy ideas, he certainly turned the dull rainy afternoon into one amazing adventure. The show is recommended for children aged 2 years and above.

Japan Summer Festival

Japan Summer Festival
Held in conjunction with Sports Hub Community Play Day, the Japan Summer Festival is the largest Japanese cultural and fun-play event and first-ever to be held at the Singapore Sports Hub. Held over 2 days, visitors will get to immerse in all things Japanese with over 100 food and beverage, merchandise and games stalls. Learn more about Japanese traditional customs with the traditional tea ceremony, Kimono and Bon-Odori mass dance performance as well as a shogi demonstration. There will also be Japanese motorsports arcade games and a chance to meet and greet Pokémon.
