Organized by the Families for Life Council, "I Still Do" is an annual marriage outreach programme to encourage couples to love and care for each other regardless of their differences, and be committed to making their marriage last.

Enjoy a romantic evening with your spouse at “I Still Do” Couples’ Picnic at Empress Lawn, Civic District! Love is in the air, so leave your cares (and children) at home, and go on a date and spend quality time as a couple!

Pack your picnic mat and favorite picnic food, and chill out with your loved one! Couples can look forward to interactive activities such as DIY flower bouquet-making, music performances and even a love renewal segment to reaffirm your love and commitment to your spouse. Complete the evening with a romantic dance session and movie screening under the stars!

The Metropolitan Festival Orchestra will Apparate you into the wizarding world of Harry Potter, while the entire film plays in High-Definition on a 40-foot screen.

Discover courage, empathy and kindness as your children navigate life’s big firsts at PLAYtime! 2019, presented by Esplanade. PLAYtime! is an interactive theatre series for children ages two to six. Each experience is an opportunity to spark your child’s creativity and encourage learning through the performing arts. PLAYtime is holding an interactive event called The Dragon’s Dentist which portrays the dragon as a mythical creature but its dental woes are definitely no myth. Follow the dragon dentist and his apprentice on an adventure of epic proportion as they help the poor creature with his toothy troubles. The Dragon’s Dentist is about overcoming our fears whilst embracing new experiences.

Don Quixote Presented by Singapore Dance Theatre

Don Quixote
Last month, we had the Introduction to Don Quixote specially made for our young audiences, leaving them wanting for more. Now, you and your children could get to see the full performance here at the Esplanade Theatre! Set in Spain, Don Quixote tells a story of love, betrayal, and eternal devotion written by Miguel de Cervantes. Kitri has fallen in love with Basilio, a poor young barber. However, Kitri’s father has every intention on marrying her off to the wealthy fop, Gamache. In Kitri and Basilio’s attempt to run away, they meet Don Quixote, an old knight, and his faithful companion, Sancho Panza.

Note: No admission for infants in arms and children below 4 years old.

Gretel’s life is turned upside down when her new brother Hansel arrives. He gets all the attention, the cuddles and the kisses and poor Gretel is told to ‘grow up’ and remember that she’s ‘a big girl now’! But Gretel doesn’t want to be big! And she doesn’t want the annoying little brother who’s too small to play.

Based on the well-loved Brothers Grimm classic fairy tale, Gretel and Hansel is a heartfelt, humorous and exciting tale about sibling rivalry, family love, courage and understanding what it means to be a big sister! Gretel and Hansel will help encourage children to work together, appreciate their siblings and understand the importance of family love. This show is recommended for children aged 4 years and above.
