Enjoy the fun walk in the evening and proceed to the event lawn for a picnic and movie screening while we will end-off the exciting day with FIREWORKS! Children’s Season Singapore 2019

Wonderland at the ArtScience Museum
Children’s Season Singapore is back with activities such as drawing classes, treasure hunts within the National Museum of Singapore’s galleries, storytelling performances, cartoon drawing workshops, and more! Organized by the National Heritage Board for families with children aged 3-12 years old, each venue is guaranteed to be an educational experience that highlights the different areas of Singapore.

At Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall, children learn about past occupations such as a policemen in-charge of directing traffic at crossroad junctions. At the Malay Heritage Centre, children can play-pretend around Kampong Glam while learning the significance of the area as a port town with the family. At the Indian Heritage Centre, children are encouraged to unleash their curiosity, creativity and learning process through a heritage hunt around Little India and through interactive storytelling sessions and performances!

S.E.A Aquarium Ocean Fest is back with the theme “The Noisy Ocean”. Held in celebration of World Oceans Day on 8 June, this festival aims to raise awareness on ocean soundscapes and the negative implications of sound pollution through immersive installations, musical performances, project showcases and more!

Take your little ones to participate in “Celebration of sound” that will be held in front of the iconic Open Ocean Habitat. Partake in a brand-new percussion showcase with an ensemble of upcycled materials turned into musical instruments, live sized dancing puppets and an original score imparting the importance of the 3Rs: reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Hari Raya Light Up 2019: Celebrating The Kampung Spirit
Geylang Serai will be bathed in a sea of colourful lights in the lead up to Hari Raya Puasa. The theme “Celebrating the kampung spirit” continues with the dazzling display of close to 50 light installations stretching across 1.8km along Changi Road, Geylang Road and Sims Avenue. A reflection of Singapore’s multi-culturalism, Hari Raya Light up 2019 is a platform for all Singaporeans regardless of races to come together and celebrate each other’s culture and traditions.

Look out for up to 50 light installations including a giant kaleidoscope installation shaped like a star and emblazoned with Islamic and Greek motifs in Onan Road. Find 3D arches such as a mosque featuring golden domes surrounded by full blooms, a façade of a kampong house, a traditional Malay drum, and a crescent moon and star - symbols of Islam!

Included in this camp is the chance to catch the latest live Science Show on dinosaurs, and explore the DinoQuest exhibition that transports you back to when dinosaurs roam our planet earth through advanced multi-sensory experiences. In DinoQuest camp, participants will learn about the difference between Palaeontology and Archaeology. They will understand what fossils are and how they are found, collected, studied, and processed in labs. Faber-Castell Art Festival 2019

Faber-Castell Art Festival 2019
Faber-Castell Singapore is back with an art festival that is about making art accessible to all ages. Little ones, teenagers, adults and seniors are all welcomed to experience ‘live’ art demonstrations, vibrant artworks by a line-up of more than 20 local and international artists for sale and display, and participate in art workshops. Visitors can look forward to free-and-easy activities such as assembling pens, designing magnetic badges, manga drawing and acrylic painting on stones by artists!

The star attraction is the Faber-Castell ‘Colour to Life’ Augmented Reality (AR) based application. Participants are given the choice of 20 Faber-Castell Connector Pens to colour different characters in a colouring book consisting of five different characters across 15 pages. The pages are later scanned via an app which allows the interaction with characters in 3D. Isn’t it cool that you can take selfies and play games with your coloured creations?
