Check into the Sports Hub Library and check out a book at one of the few public libraries in Singapore which has been built to a specialised theme. The library is located at the Singapore Sports Hub, which is itself a hub of sports related retail, facilities, dining and play activities.

Learn more about the history of sports, sports training, management, science and coaching. Find out about your favourite athletes through the library’s extensive catalogue of biographies and memoirs. With over 80,000 titles in the collection, this is a veritable treasure trove of sports related facts and findings.

If you are visiting with kids, there is a special junior reading section on the 2nd floor. If you feel the need to move, and combine this trip with some physical activity, then engage in a game of oversize chess or book an Xbox Kinect and see how good you are at playing some of the virtual sports games. There is also a children’s playground above the library.

If you have time, you can take a look at the Singapore Sports Museum which is just next to the Sports Hub Library. Memorabilia from Singapore’s participation in sporting events since independence as well as the history and artifacts from the original Kallang Sports Stadium have also been preserved.

Both the Sport Museum and the Sports Hub Library are free and open to members of the public every day of the week.
