At first glance, I Want to Marry You But… might resemble the title of a chick lit novel, but it’s really a useful guide for the layman to understand the legalities involved in entering and being in a marriage.

Author Jennifer Yeo, lawyer and founder of YEO-LEONG & Partners (and, incidentally, the wife of former Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Yeo), wrote this book to simplify the legal intricacies of family law in Singapore.

Written in bite-sized nuggets of information and peppered with local and overseas case studies, I Want to Marry You But… serves as an easy reference for both young and married couples to the significance of entering a marriage contract.
