Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay is Singapore’s national performing arts centre. Fondly referred to as the “durian”, the centre is an architectural icon with distinctive spiky shells that house our two main venues, the Concert Hall and Theatre.
Our annual line-up consists of about 3,000 performances presented by Esplanade, collaboration partners and hirers. These include ticketed and free performances, cutting across dance, music, theatre and more, making the arts accessible to everyone. We work in close partnership with local, regional and international artists to grow artistic capabilities and push boundaries while also developing technical capabilities for the industry on a national level.
Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay is operated by The Esplanade Co Ltd, which is a not-for-profit organisation, a registered Charity and an Institution of a Public Character.
